This Privacy Policy explains how Matt Giorgio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Wrapped mobile application (the "App"). Wrapped helps you keep track of the people you care about, their important dates, gift ideas, gift budgets, and reminders.
By using Wrapped, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Matt Giorgio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Wrapped mobile application (the "App"). Wrapped helps you keep track of the people you care about, their important dates, gift ideas, gift budgets, and reminders.
By using Wrapped, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address to create and secure your account. If you choose to hide your email, Apple provides us with a private relay address instead.
Content you create. Information you add to the App, such as your contacts / gift recipients (names, birthdays, occasions, relationships, notes), gifts, events, budgets, and reminders.
Photos. Photos you take or upload of gifts, events, and invitations.
Contacts you import. If you grant permission, we access your device contacts so you can import people as gift recipients. Only the contacts you choose to import are stored by the App.
Information collected automatically:
Usage and analytics data. We use PostHog to understand how the App is used (for example, which features are opened and general interaction events) so we can improve it.
Approximate location. We use country-level location to personalize your experience (for example, regional gift suggestions). We primarily determine your country from your App Store region and, if needed, from your device's approximate location at reduced accuracy. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Device and technical information. Basic device information and a push notification token (if you enable notifications) so we can deliver reminders.
We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not use data for third-party advertising.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the App and its core features (contacts, gifts, events, budgets, reminders);
Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
Send you reminders and other notifications you enable;
Provide AI-powered features such as scanning invitations and extracting gift details (see Section 3);
Personalize content such as regional suggestions;
Analyze and improve the App's performance and features;
Process subscription purchases; and
Respond to your requests and provide support.
AI-Powered Features
Wrapped includes optional features that use artificial intelligence to save you time, such as scanning a photo of an invitation to extract event details, and extracting gift details from a photo or link.
When you use one of these features, the relevant image or text is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a result. This processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and applicable Google API terms. We send only the content needed to perform the requested task, and only when you actively use one of these features.
AI-generated results may not always be accurate. Please review any details the App extracts before relying on them.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We use trusted third parties to operate the App:
Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and file storage;
Google (Gemini API) — AI processing of invitation and gift content (see Section 3);
PostHog — product analytics;
Superwall — managing and displaying subscription offers;
Apple — Sign in with Apple, subscription billing, and push notifications.
Other users, at your direction. Wrapped lets you share a gift recipient with another Wrapped user. When you share a contact, the information associated with that contact becomes visible to the user you share it with. You control what you share and can revoke access.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete your personal content associated with the account, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Aggregated or de-identified analytics data that cannot reasonably be linked to you may be retained.
Your Rights and Choices
Access and deletion. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from Profile → Delete my account in the App. You may also contact us to request access to or deletion of your personal information.
Permissions. You can control access to your contacts, camera, location, and notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
Notifications. You can turn off push notifications in the App's settings or in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls provided by our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Wrapped is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International Users
We operate and store data using service providers that may be located in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
